Migreurop calls for the immediate halt of all collaborations initiated by the European Union and its Member States with Omar El-Bashir’s dictatorship and with any country breaching fundamental rights.

When it comes to the expulsion of foreigners deemed undesirable, nothing seems to stop the European Union (EU) and its Member States, which do not hesitate to compromise themselves with Omar al-Bashir, Sudan’s President, who is under two international arrest warrants for genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes.

It must be said and repeated: any form of cooperation with the Sudanese authorities violates the obligations resulting from international law and jeopardizes the persons delivered by the European authorities to the dictator Omar al-Bashir. Migreurop network and its members, therefore, call for immediately stop the expulsions to Sudan and any cooperation with the country.
