16 October – Ministers of the EPSCO Council approved a general approach “on a decision establishing a Platform to improve cooperation at EU level in order to prevent and deter undeclared work more effectively”.
According to this approach, the platform would be constituted of national bodies, designated by the member states, and the Commission. The participation of member states will be compulsory but they will have the freedom of choosing their degree of involvement in the initiatives of the platform according to their needs and national objectives. The missions of the platform would go from the exchange of good practices, to the development of expertise and analyses, and promoting methods and tools of cooperation between countries. It would work in collaboration with social actors and international and European agencies.
