The European Association for the Defence of Human Rights (AEDH), New Europeans and the European Law Student’s Association (ELSA) invite you to one of the first events on Brexit focusing exclusively on the rights of citizens.
What fate will be reserved to European citizens? Taxes, employment, social protection, retirement: the danger area is vast and must be examined. Should a global EU-UK agreement be sought or rather bilateral agreements? What about the upholding of rights (freedom of movement, social, residence and tax rights)? All these questions will be at the centre of this conference.
The panel will be composed of experts from the academic world and the civil society sector, in particular of Dominique Guibert (AEDH President), Marianne Dony (IEE President), Pamela Fitzpatrick (Director of the Harrow Law Centre, UK) and Roger Casale (Founder of New Europeans). Moderation will be handled by Filipe Machado, ELSA Belgium President.
The conference will be followed by a cocktail, offered by the AEDH, which will allow a more informal meeting between public and stakeholders and thus the continuation of exchanges and debates.
We hope to see many of you!
