"Remove the right to asylum from migration policies" - 30 September 2010

Terra Nova published in late September 2010, a note written by Julie Bourgoint which first reminds the history of asylum and the foundations of it: "Every human being has the right to leave its own country "according to the Geneva Convention of 1951.

She then explains to the communitarisation of asylum and the problems created by Dublin I and II and other highly questionable notions like the notion of safe countries of origin and accelerated procedures.
