Press release of the European Ombudsman on how Frontex implements its fundamental rights obligations - 6 March 2012

On March 6^th, 2012, the European Ombudsman, P. Nikiforos Diamandouros, has opened an inquiry into how Frontex implements its fundamental rights obligations.

Frontex will have to reply to a number of questions about its fundamental rights strategy, its codes of conduct, and its mechanism for monitoring respect of fundamental rights, in an opinion that has to be submitted by 31 May 2012 to the European Ombudsman.
