European Commissioners Reding, Malmström and Andor publish a note on the situation of Roma in Europe - 1st September 2010

European Commissioners Viviane Reding, responsible for justice, citizenship and fundamental rights; Cecilia Malmström, in charge of internal affairs; and Laszlo Andor, responsible for Employment and Social Affairs, issued on 1st September 2010, a joint communication on the situation of Roma in Europe.

This joint paper presents the different situations Roma face inthe Member States in which they reside. It also explains the latest developments concerning the situation in France and a detailed legal analysis on the implementation of the free movement directive and anti-discrimination directive.
