CHC (Czech Republic) : Statement on the police intervention in the National Park Sumaya - 7 August 2011

The Czech Helsinki Committee published, on August 7th 2011, a statement in which it points out that police forces do not always act within the law and powers they have been attributed when they intervene in demonstrations, whatever the context.

It also explains that police forces interventions can even lead to violence and inhuman and degrading treatments against demonstrators.
