EESC adopts an opinion on the Platform against poverty and social exclusion - 16 June 2011
At its 472nd plenary session, EESC adopted an opinion on the Platform against poverty and social exclusion in which it insists on the need to implement an active inclusion policy.

The Commission issued on March 23rd 2011 a Communication on the application of EU State Aid rules on Services of General Economic Interest (COM(2011)146) aimed at lauching a debate on the future modification of the so-clled "Altmark package", the package on state aids.
October, 2nd 2009 - The HUMA report: "Access to health care for undocumented migrants and asylum seekers in 10 EU countries. Law and practice"
This first report of the HUMA network seeks to provide an updated overview of the different systems regulating access to health care for undocumented migrants and asylum seekers in ten Member States (Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Malta, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the UK) and shows the existing discriminations in regards to legal entitlements.
October, 2nd 2009 - Médecins du Monde publishes the new report of the European Observatory, Access to healthcare for undocumented migrants in 11 European countries
This survey is based on 1 218 interviews in 11 countries - Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and United Kingdom, bears witness to living conditions, state of health and access to health care of the poorest and most discriminated against people: the undocumented migrants.
July, 1st 2009 - Recommendation of the Council of Europe on the implementation of the right to housing
The expression ‘right to housing’ may be considered to refer to a cluster of more specific rights related to adequate housing and living conditions but, in general terms, it may be defined as ‘the right to live somewhere in security, peace and dignity’. In this document, the commissioner for Human Rights of the Council of Europe Thomas Hammarberg, addresses a number of recommendations to member states aimed at designing better housing policy and practice.
