You want to act for Human Rights within the EU and its policies? You can support AEDH actions by being an individual member of AEDH or politically and financially supporting us

The European Association for the Defence of Human Rights (AEDH) acts for the universal, indivisible and effective recognition of the fundamental rights of all European Union residents.

The objectives of AEDH comprise the following: advocating human rights before European institutions, standing up against and denouncing violations of rights, reporting and disseminating information, fostering encounters and exchanges, with the purpose to build a democratic Europe which embodies rights equality and effectiveness for the 500 million people who live there.

An associate member of the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH), AEDH gathers Human Rights organisations from the European countries and individual members.

Individual members are represented by two delegates in AEDH’s Board, can participate in thematic working groups linked to the priorities set by the General Assembly and financially support AEDH by their contribution/donation.

Making a donation to AEDH means promoting:

• A democratic and transparent Europe, in which citizens have a real power
•  A Europe founded on respect for individual and collective rights and freedoms
• A Europe that affirms its concern for social equality, placing economic, social and cultural rights on the same priority level as other rights
• A Europe that integrates the need for social justice and environmental protection in the core of its development model
• A Europe without discrimination
• A Europe open to the world and that takes into account its international responsibilities

Making a donation to AEDH means contributing to cover one third of the operating grant obtained from the European Commission: 1 € from AEDH can assert 3 € in our application.

How to make a donation:

There is no minimum amount. You can make a donation by mail, online or via the Fonds Interculturel Luxembourgeois (Luxemburg Intercultural Fund).

• By mail and transfer: print, fill and send by postmail the donation form. Payment is then made by bank transfer to the account 523-0804201-49 (Triodos) – IBAN : BE97 5230 8042 0149 – BIC : TRIOBEBB. We will send you a receipt as soon as payment is received.
• Online: if you have a Visa, Mastercard or Paypal account, we invite you to donate electronically. By clicking the button below, you will be directed to the electronic payment site Paypal. Fill in your donation amount, recalculate the amount and click continue. Once your payment is completed, you will immediately get a receipt. To donate online, click the button below:

• Via the Intercultural Fund: AEDH is accredited to the Fonds Interculturel Luxembourgeois (Luxemburg Intercultural Fund) to receive tax-deductible donations. Any taxable person, in any country of the European Union, making a donation to AEDH via this fund, may be granted a tax deduction. Indeed, any donation to a recognised public utility organisation in another Member State of the EU as the taxpayer’s residence is tax deductible. The process is very simple: just send a bank transfer to the Intercultural Fund, specifying:

o The Recipient: AEDH

o The Amount: what you want to donate

o Your Name and Address

You will then receive from the Intercultural Fund a certificate to attach to your tax return in order to benefit from the tax deduction. It is also necessary to complete and return the AEDH donation form, stating that your payment was made via the Intercultural Fund.
